What Does It Cost and Will My Insurance Cover It?

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is an intensive treatment that requires a larger sum initially, rather than traditional therapy which can be spread over months or years. The goal with KAT is to address issues at their root, and resolve them through this process. The aim is to reduce the amount of investment needed in the future, ultimately decreasing the overall cost of mental health treatment.

We are currently working towards implementing a sliding scale and scholarships. We are looking to find creative ways of making this treatment more affordable and accessible, while still creating a sustainable business model to foster this growing practice.

Please be aware that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet established the appropriateness of KAT and its use is considered off-label. The only official indication for use of ketamine is anesthesia. It is extremely important that you understand the off-label use of ketamine as it pertains to any liability associated with the use of ketamine. Because this, it is not yet covered by insurance companies, and the patient is responsible for payment in full.

I offer two packages for Ketamine Assisted Therapy:

  • 6 Medicine Sessions
6 sessions (totaling over 26 face to face therapeutic hours)  allows us to see a full arc of the medicine- providing time to get to know the medicine and how it impacts you, dig into bigger issues, and where I see the the most significant gains.

    • (1) 60 Minute Intake Session

    • (1) 50 Minute Preparation Session (additional sessions available as needed)

    • (6) 3 hour  Medicine Sessions (In-person)

    • (6) 50 Minute Integration Sessions (Telehealth)

    • $4900 Total

    • Additional Integration or Prep Sessions (50-minutes): $175

  • 3 Medicine Sessions

3 Sessions (totaling over 13 face to face therapeutic hours) allows us to be introduced to the medicine, experience non-ordinary states of consciousness, explore spiritual questions, elicit healing, fresh perspectives and symptom reduction.

    • (1) 60 Minute Intake Session

    • (1) 50 Minute Preparation Session (additional sessions available as needed)

    • (3) 3 hour  Medicine Sessions (In-person)

    • (3) 50 Minute Integration Sessions (Telehealth)

    • Totaling over 13 face to face therapeutic hours

*Please note: Ketamine requires a prescription which will require an appointment with a psychiatric nurse practitioner with whom I work closely. This fee not included in the prices listed. The cost for this is typically between $200-$400.
